Favorite Story (1946-49) aired “The Travels of Marco Polo” on October 9, 1948. Full of the colorful and exotic flavor of such places as Palestine, Baghdad, Cathay, and Tibet, this one adventure of many as chronicled by the historical figure is masterfully enhanced by the atmospheric musical score.

The concept for Favorite Story is a simple one; well known personalities of the time, whether they come from the arts, sciences, sports, literature, or any other field, choose one of their “favorite stories” for dramatization. The series is hosted by the debonair English actor Ronald Colman.
