Favorite Story (1946-49) aired “Gulliver’s Travels” on March 27, 1948 as the “favorite story” choice of famed actor Ray Miland. Narrated by host Ronald Colman, we visit the land of Liliput in this somewhat humorously rendered dramatization of one of Jonathan Swift’s most enduring political satires. Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) often wrote his works pseudonymously. As you can see by the title page of the 1726 1st edition at left, Gulliver’s Travels (as the much shortened title has become known over time) was penned as by Lemuel Gulliver.
