"The Desires of Houses" by Haddayr Copley-Woods

"The Desires of Houses" by Haddayr Copley-Woods deals with the reaction of a house to the daily routine of its inhabitants.  Copley-Woods writes with a grounded clarity that balances the erotic elements to create a story that is beautifully sexy, and never crass or dirty.  The house does not lust after the woman; it cherishes her in a way that her partner does not.  The house’s voice is charmingly dreamy, as if it is not quite used to expressing itself in such a concrete fashion.  The effect is summed up by the last line, which is nothing short of perfect.

"The Desires of Houses" is a gorgeous story and I highly recommend checking it out.
