“The November Lamassus” by Simo Srinivas
Reviewed by Victoria Silverwolf
The main character in “The November Lamassus” by Simo Srinivas house sits and pet sits for various supernatural entities, from a sentient home to a gigantic goldfish. The story consists of multiple brief sections of text, and the plot is very episodic. These individual vignettes have the feeling of magic realism and are of interest in themselves, but readers are likely to think that the whole is something less that the sum of its parts.
