“Four Steps to Hunt a God” by Athar Fikry
Reviewed by Victoria Silverwolf
The narrator of “Four Steps to Hunt a God” by Athar Fikry steals a deity from a world, then tells the inhabitants how to steal one from another world. This brief tale appears to be saying something about the human need for gods. However, the mood is tongue-in-cheek, with gods being hunted in the same way as animals. The resulting work is clever, if not particularly engaging.
