“A Hero’s Tale” by E. Florian Gludovacz reminded me of the fantasy film Dragonheart, which also features a business relationship and friendship between a human knight and a dragon. This tale is very light and introduces us to the hero, Cormyn, and the dragon, Thôrwyaîn. Cormyn agrees not to kill the dragon in exchange for a treasure map. The map turns out not to lead to riches and Cormyn finds himself in hell. How he gets out of hell is amusing and the whole tale pokes gentle fun at tales of dragons and knights and monsters in hell. Read this tale to find out how Cormyn gets out of hell and what business arrangement he enters into with the dragon. A pleasant read.
