“Terms and Conditions” by Douglas Schwarz has the narrator bargaining with a demon to avoid hell. At his death, the narrator discovers he sold his soul by agreeing to a game app’s terms and conditions, which he accepted without reading. As an advertising executive, he is familiar with being caught out by the small print, so he insists on reading the contract and discovers a clause that he can use to his advantage. Worth reading just to see how the narrator tricks the demon, proving there is nothing more demonic than a human. A light read.
