“Coachella 2065: Day One, Reviewed” by Carles.Buzz

Coachella is an actual music festival, held annually in Indio, CA. This story is a satirical bit of social commentary, couched in the frame of a review by a festival attendee from the year 2065. How many clichés can we shove into a single story? Global warming: check. Social media taking over society: check. Not-so-subtle digs at the music industry: check. Terrorists: check. I could go on, but I’ll spare you. I found nothing original or compelling. If you like stories by and for hipsters, then you’ll enjoy this. Satire, while often very compelling, sometimes falls flat.
