The Weather Dancer” by Aisha Phoenix

Amaya is an elderly woman living out the end of a lonely life at a nursing home. During the course of the story she loses friends and meets new ones. As a chaplain I can tell you that the situation described in the story is devastatingly accurate. If for no other reason this is a story worth reading.

However, this is a story about more than that. We all have a gift or talent that makes us special. Often no one else sees it or understand it. When someone does come into our life that sees it and understands it, we can often pass that gift along. That’s a great reason to read this story.
