At Whatever Are Their Moons” by Sunny Moraine

Reviewed by Christos Antonaros

In the short story “At Whatever Are Their Moons” by Sunny Moraine, Cora is a captain not only proud of her flying ship, which she designed, but deeply in love with it. Following this affection, she will travel across the world on a quest for a way to give her creation a conscience and a voice.

The author successfully guides us through this extraordinary universe, full of wild nature and creatures that excite our imagination. Cora’s wish for her ship to possess a soul, and the sacrifices she has to make for it resembles every artist, mechanic, or architect who wishes the same every time they finish a masterpiece.

Christos Antonaros is a dark fiction author with a love for European mythology.
