Tangent Online Seeking Additional Reviewers
November 25, 2014–
Due to the debut of several new professionally-paying short fiction markets and the recent influx of science fiction, fantasy (and horror) original anthologies coming its way, Tangent Online is seeking to expand its review staff by a minimum of five reviewers. Tangent Online is considered a fanzine and is not a paying market; reviewers give of their time, energy, and expertise for love of genre, and to promote the often overlooked short story field.
Applicants must have English as a first language or be able to exhibit an equivalent knowledge of English if not their first language. A knowledge of the science fiction and fantasy genres is a must. Review experience is strongly recommended, but will work with the right person if the required level of experience is lacking.
Attention to detail, ability to follow simple instructions, and meet deadlines a must. Examples of previous written work of any kind are welcomed but not necessary.
Tangent Online is also looking to expand its coverage of the horror field and two new reviewers with the history and knowledge of this specific genre are especially needed. Horror reviewers’ job descriptions will include not only primarily horror publications, but SF and Fantasy on occasion, as need warrants.
Those who feel they have the requisite experience and are interested in applying for the open review staff positions should write to the editor, Dave Truesdale, at: tangent.dt1@gmail. com.
